Signing in for the first time
Some apps are open to everyone. Others are just for the people in a club, a business or a group, and ask you to sign in first. This page walks you through it.
Your account belongs to this space
Every Rhappsody app lives in a space: the club, business or community that runs it. Your account is for that one space. If you belong to two different groups that both use Rhappsody, you’ll have a separate sign-in for each.
How to sign in
- Open the app’s web address, for example
yourclub.rhapp.app. - If you aren’t signed in yet, you’ll see a sign-in page titled Sign in to followed by the space’s name. You can also tap Sign in at the top of the page.
- In Username or email, type your username or the email address on your account.
- In Password, type your password.
- Tap Sign in.
That’s it. You’re taken back to where you were going.
Your first sign-in with a temporary password
If you were given a temporary password, the sign-in page reminds you: “Use the temporary password you were given. After you sign in, you’ll choose a new password.”
- Sign in with the temporary password, as above.
- On Choose a new password, pick one with at least 8 characters that you don’t use anywhere else, and type it twice.
- Use your new password from now on.
When an app asks you to sign in
Some apps show their own small sign-in box, titled Sign in to and the app’s name, with a line such as Member access underneath. It works the same way: type your Username and Password and tap Sign in.
Creating your own account
Only some spaces allow this. If yours does, the sign-in page shows a Create an account link. You’ll need a signup code from the space, often included in the link they sent you.
- Tap Create an account.
- Fill in the signup code, a username, your email address and a password.
- Check your email and open the link we send you to confirm your address.
- Come back and sign in.
If you don’t see Create an account, the space adds people itself. Ask the person who runs it.
How long you stay signed in
You stay signed in on that device for about a day, as long as you’re using the app. After that, or if you tap Sign out, you’ll need to sign in again.
If something goes wrong
“That username, email, or password doesn’t match what we have on file.” Check the spelling, try your email address instead of your username (or the other way round), and check Caps Lock. Still stuck? Reset your password.
“This account does not have access to this area.” You signed in, but this part of the app is for people with a different role, for example staff only. Ask the person who runs the space if you think you should have access.
“Sign-in is not configured for this space yet.” The space hasn’t finished setting up accounts. Let the person who runs it know.
